She spent the following four years at Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine to obtain her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (DO). During her final two years of medical school, she was based at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Following medical school, Dr. Ptasnik completed her transitional year in Internal Medicine at Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont Hospital) Dearborn. At the completion of this year Dr. Ptasnik was awarded the highest honor of Resident of the Year for her exceptional patient care and team-work abilities. Finally, she continued her specialization in Dermatology based at Corewell Health Trenton, where she has spent the last three years providing outstanding dermatologic care to the greater Southeast Michigan area. Dr. Ptasnik has completed extensive training in both inpatient and outpatient dermatology including complex medical dermatology, cosmetic injectables, light-based laser devices, surgical dermatology including specialized Mohs micrographic surgery.
